Plan & Build

Turning ideas into reality.

Whether you’re just starting to envision a project or you’ve worked out your plans with a designer, our first job is to determine the right way to proceed. We’ll assess the architectural style and scope of your project and whether or not you require highly detailed drawings of every part of the project. Then we’ll discuss what makes more sense: working with your ideas in-house or connecting you with one of our partner architects.

Whatever route you choose to follow, we can make the process cooperative, collaborative and highly constructive.

Delivering the architect’s vision.

When you hire Carlisle Classic Homes as your builder, we’ll ensure that the full value of the architectural drawings—and your vision—get turned into reality, on time and on budget.

Whatever details you, your architect or designer plans, we will follow the drawings to the letter. Sometimes an existing building can temporarily impede our ability to deliver exactly what is specified. In those cases, we’ll work with your resource to ensure these new ideas fit the reality of your existing structure without compromising your aesthetic goals.

Another option: Carlisle design/build.

If you’re starting from scratch without plans and have just a general idea of what you want, we can help there, too.

We’ll start by sitting down and discussing your overall objectives—whether you’re improving the layout of your current residence, adding more room or updating a kitchen or bath—whatever you desire.

We’ll do “as built” drawings of the current space and note the technical details: where plumbing, heat and electricity run; what walls are weight bearing—essentially what is feasible and reasonable given your existing structure.

We will then provide you with two versions of floor plans to illustrate the new space, along with preliminary estimates for one plan. All for a reasonable fee and independent of the construction process.

That means you’ve got options. You can proceed with us to the next phase: refinement and permitting. You can think it over. Or, you can take the plans and go to another builder. You’re not locked in.

Good to go.

In the vast majority of projects, we are involved with the next phase: refinement of the plans and estimate then permitting with the appropriate municipality.

We’ll offer up ideas about how to turn your house into a “smart” home that is flexible enough to evolve with the rapid pace of technology. We can help you automate lighting, heating, and cooling.  We’ll educate you on how to prepare for smart appliances. We can update audio and video set-ups. We can add a home theater. We can do all of this for significantly less than what amenities like these cost a decade ago.
